Kiina releases 'Outside Again' featuring Goya Gumbani and Fatima

Three of the UK’s most exciting emerging musicians; NYC-born, London-based rapper Goya Gumbani, Swedish neo-soul singer Fatima and Scottish producer Kiina have come together on a new single “Outside Again”. Succeeding the release of Kiina and Goya’s EP “The Lesser Known”, this expanded sequel offers an insight into the connection between accepting change and questioning the unknown.

The single reflects on the uncertainty of the global pandemic and is a powerful comment on each artists’ introspective experience through the lockdown and BLM. Although every individual’s experience is different, all share a struggle against an invisible oppressor - propagated by cultural, systemic and structural biases - that is often hard to see and even harder to overcome. “Outside Again” offers Kiina’s signature jazz sampled chops, with meditative drum loops swaying between their off-kilter melodies.

Through Kiina’s unique production and Goya and Fatima’s deeply personal lyrics, the breakthrough artists differ from many young artists - the waves the artists are making have us truly feeling like it’s a breakthrough year for artists with the kind of technical ability and melodic prowess that can’t be contained. Expressing vulnerability through his lyricism, Goya’s signature laconic style and Kiina’s undeniable musical ability, have already caught the attention of international press including AFROPUNK, Clash and Berlin-based music platform COLORS, where Goya performed their single “Blasé”.

The new single is out today on all major music platforms.
